Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday Cast Confirmed, Featuring Major Returns and New Faces

Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday Cast Confirmed

Marvel Studios has officially confirmed the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, with a livestream event on YouTube and social media unveiling the lineup. This marks the first Avengers team-up since Endgame (2019), and the film is set to be one of the biggest Marvel productions yet.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Doomsday will bring together returning heroes, including Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright, Florence Pugh, and Simu Liu. Also joining the ensemble are newcomers Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who will be reprising their roles from The Fantastic Four: First Steps, alongside other Thunderbolts cast members.

One of the biggest surprises is the return of Robert Downey Jr., not as Tony Stark, but as the legendary Marvel villain Victor von Doom. The news, first revealed at San Diego Comic-Con last year, stunned fans and set high expectations for the film. Kelsey Grammer is also back as Beast after his cameo in The Marvels, further solidifying the integration of the X-Men into the MCU.

Marvel’s unique stunt of revealing actors’ on-set chairs during the livestream kept fans on edge as the lineup was slowly confirmed. The announcement also included Tenoch Huerta Mejía’s Namor, a character whose return was previously uncertain.

With filming set to begin next month in London, Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s most ambitious projects. The film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars following on May 7, 2027.
