The makers of Prabhas‘ upcoming period action drama Fauzi have officially announced that the film will release in theatres worldwide on December 3, 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a striking new poster that offers another glimpse of the film’s wartime setting while signaling the next phase of its promotional campaign.
Sharing the poster on social media, the makers wrote, “Agyatparva ENDS. THE REBELLION BEGINS. #Fauzi GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 3rd DECEMBER 2026.” The announcement officially concludes the film’s “Agyatparva” campaign and shifts the focus toward its theatrical release later this year.
The newly released poster features Prabhas bruised and bloodied, seated with a rifle in hand against the backdrop of a war-ravaged battlefield. The imagery reinforces the film’s military setting and hints at the scale of action audiences can expect from the historical drama.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi is set during the 1940s and follows the journey of a soldier associated with the Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army) during India’s freedom struggle. The film marks Prabhas’ first collaboration with Raghavapudi, who is best known for directing acclaimed films such as Sita Ramam, Andala Rakshasi, and Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha.
The project is reportedly planned as a two-part saga, with the second installment expected to serve as a prequel that expands the story and explores events leading up to the first film. While the makers have yet to reveal detailed plot information, Fauzi is expected to blend war, action, romance, and historical drama against the backdrop of one of India’s most significant periods.
The film stars Prabhas alongside Anupam Kher and Imanvi, who makes her acting debut with the project. It is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, one of Telugu cinema’s leading production houses, with music composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, reuniting the composer with Hanu Raghavapudi after their successful collaboration on Sita Ramam. Sudeep Chatterjee serves as the cinematographer, while Sunil Babu handles the production design.
Earlier this year, the production made headlines after photos from the film’s set surfaced online. Following the leaks, Hanu Raghavapudi appealed to fans on social media not to share unauthorized images or reveal details from the shoot, requesting that audiences preserve the theatrical experience. More recently, actor Rajesh Sharma, who is also part of the film, was reportedly hospitalized after being bitten by an insect while filming. He later recovered, and production continued as scheduled.
Fauzi joins an ambitious lineup of upcoming projects for Prabhas, including Spirit, Kalki 2898 AD Part 2, and Salaar Part 2. With its historical setting, large-scale production, and one of Indian cinema’s biggest stars in the lead role, Fauzi is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian releases of the year when it arrives in cinemas on December 3, 2026.
