Ram Charan’s Peddi is building strong trade momentum ahead of its June 4, 2026 theatrical release, with the film now confirmed for a grand IMAX rollout and its USA advance sales reportedly nearing the $400K mark. The latest update adds to the growing overseas buzz around the Buchi Babu Sana-directed sports action drama, which is already tracking strongly in North America before its premiere shows.
According to Venky Box Office’s latest update on X, Peddi has grossed nearly $400K in USA advance sales with 15 days still left for the premieres. The figure is significant because North America has become one of the most important overseas markets for big Telugu releases, especially for stars with strong post-RRR recognition such as Ram Charan.
The latest number also shows how quickly the film’s overseas pre-sales have grown. Earlier, Peddi had crossed the $100K mark in North America premiere pre-sales within just a few hours of bookings opening. Moneycontrol reported that the film crossed $100K in four hours, while Times of India also noted the strong early response for the Ram Charan starrer.

That early momentum continued over the following days. Times of India later reported that Peddi had crossed $250K in North America pre-sales, with premiere shows scheduled for June 3, a day before the film’s worldwide release. The same report also noted that the makers were planning a grand music launch in Bhopal on May 23.
Koimoi’s advance booking report further underlined the film’s overseas strength. With 18 days still left for the premieres at the time of its report, Peddi had registered around $292K in USA advance gross from 450 locations and 1,347 shows, with 10.1K tickets sold. The report also placed the film at around 44% of Game Changer’s final USA premiere pre-sales, giving the trade a clear comparison point for Ram Charan’s current market pull.
The confirmation of an IMAX release gives Peddi another premium-format advantage. For a large-scale Telugu film, IMAX screens can help boost early perception, especially in major overseas centres where premium ticket pricing and fan-driven premiere shows often play a key role in opening numbers. The format also supports the film’s positioning as a big-screen sports action drama rather than a routine commercial release.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi has been mounted as one of the major Telugu releases of 2026. The film stars Ram Charan in the lead role, with Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. The cast also includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani, giving the film a wide ensemble appeal across regional and Hindi-speaking markets.
The film’s music is composed by A.R. Rahman, which has also added to its pan-India positioning. With a major music launch planned and the trailer campaign already becoming a talking point, the makers appear to be building the film’s promotional rollout around both scale and emotional appeal. Times of India recently reported that the film’s music was already gaining attention before the official launch event.
The promotional campaign has also been expanding through character reveals. Jagapathi Babu’s first look as Appalasoori was recently unveiled, with reports noting that North America pre-sales had already crossed $300K by that stage. The trailer launch and cast-led promotions are expected to push advance bookings further in the coming days.
For Ram Charan, Peddi is an important release after Game Changer. The comparison between the two films in USA advance booking reports shows that trade attention is not only on the final number, but also on how quickly Peddi is catching up with the earlier film’s premiere-day pre-sales. If the current trend continues after the trailer and music promotions, the film could enter release week with a strong North American base already in place.
The North America premieres are scheduled for June 3, followed by the worldwide theatrical release on June 4. With IMAX now part of the release plan and USA advance sales reportedly close to $400K, Peddi is shaping up as one of the strongest overseas Telugu openers to watch in the coming weeks.
