The showcase also featured major reveals including Robert Eggers’ Werwulf, new footage from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Supergirl and Dune: Part Three, alongside high-profile projects like The Thomas Crown Affair remake, Highlander, Verity and the official unveiling of Spaceballs: The New One. Adding to the mix were a Snoop Dogg biopic announcement and a slate of genre and mid-budget films, making Day 3 one of the most packed and wide-ranging presentations of the convention.
At the center of attention was The Odyssey, Nolan’s follow-up to Oppenheimer. Taking the stage to a standing ovation, the filmmaker described Homer’s epic as a story that has endured for over 3,000 years, positioning his adaptation as a modern cinematic reimagining of that legacy.
The footage introduced Matt Damon as Odysseus, caught in a moment of disorientation, questioning his past and his identity. Fragments of memory reveal Anne Hathaway as his wife and Tom Holland as his son, while Charlize Theron’s Calypso anchors the emotional tone of the sequence.
The presentation then shifted into spectacle, recreating the Trojan Horse sequence with immense scale. Greek soldiers hidden within the structure are pulled into Troy, waiting for darkness before launching their attack. The sequence, led by Damon alongside Jon Bernthal, highlights Nolan’s emphasis on practical scale and immersive storytelling. Designed for IMAX exhibition, the film stands as one of the most anticipated theatrical releases on the upcoming slate.
Following Nolan, Spielberg introduced Disclosure Day, marking his return to large-scale original science fiction. Appearing at CinemaCon for the first time, Spielberg reflected on his fascination with the unknown, using that curiosity as the foundation for the film.
The footage teased a story centered on extraterrestrial encounters, blending spectacle with emotional intrigue. Spielberg framed the film as a theatrical experience, reinforcing his long-standing commitment to cinema as a communal event while advocating for stronger theatrical windows.
Beyond these headline presentations, Day 3 expanded into a wide-ranging slate of reveals. Robert Eggers presented first footage from Werwulf, leaning into a dark, gothic tone that continues his signature approach to atmospheric horror, signaling the growing presence of auteur-driven genre filmmaking within studio systems.
Superhero storytelling remained a major pillar. Spider-Man: Brand New Day showcased new footage teasing multiverse complications and emotional stakes, while DC’s Supergirl generated buzz with the inclusion of Jason Momoa’s Lobo, introducing a more chaotic and edgier tone to the character’s cinematic presence.

The revival of legacy IP remained a clear strategy point. The Highlander reboot, starring Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe, was positioned as a large-scale action franchise with long-term potential, while Spaceballs: The New One was officially unveiled, bringing back Mel Brooks alongside returning cast members Rick Moranis and Bill Pullman.
Alongside these, studios continued to diversify their slate. Verity, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel, was introduced as a psychological thriller starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett. David Leitch’s How to Rob a Bank added a contemporary twist to the heist genre, centering on criminals who broadcast their robberies live on social media.
One of the notable announcements of the day was the unveiling of a biopic centered on Snoop Dogg. Introduced by the artist himself, the project is being developed with Brian Grazer producing and Craig Brewer directing, marking a major addition to the growing slate of music-driven biographical films.
Universal also reinforced its dominance in the animation space, teasing continued expansion of its Minions-led universe, while additional titles such as Violent Night 2, Other Mommy and One Night Only reflected a mix of genre filmmaking across horror, comedy and mid-budget theatrical content.
