Dhurandhar 2 Enters ₹1000 Crore Club in 7 Days, Sets Box Office Record

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has achieved what only a handful of Indian films have managed in history — and it has done so at remarkable speed. In just seven days, the Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, has crossed the ₹1000 crore mark worldwide, cementing its position as one of the fastest and most dominant box office performers of all time.

With a total global gross of approximately ₹1006 crore in its first week, the film has officially entered the elite ₹1000 crore club, becoming the second-fastest Indian film to reach the milestone after Pushpa 2, which achieved the feat in six days. In doing so, Dhurandhar 2 has outpaced the collection trajectories of some of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema, including Baahubali 2, RRR, KGF Chapter 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Pathaan, and Jawan. This is not just a commercial success — it is a redefinition of scale.

The foundation for this historic run was laid even before the film’s official release. A record-breaking paid preview phase, followed by a massive opening day, immediately positioned the film as an event release. Within its first three days, it had already crossed the ₹100 crore mark domestically, and by the end of its opening weekend, it had amassed a staggering ₹750 crore worldwide — the second-highest opening weekend total ever recorded for an Indian film.

From there, the film transitioned into its weekday run with surprising stability. While most front-loaded blockbusters witness sharp drops after Sunday, Dhurandhar 2 managed to maintain momentum through Monday and Tuesday, signaling strong audience retention. The first noticeable slowdown arrived on Day 7, where the film recorded a 16% drop, collecting ₹47.70 crore net in India. Even then, the number remains significantly high for a weekday, underlining the strength of its theatrical pull.

Domestically, the film has accumulated approximately ₹623 crore net and ₹745 crore gross within seven days, placing it among the fastest Hindi films to cross major benchmarks. Its performance is not confined to India alone. Overseas, Dhurandhar 2 has delivered equally impressive numbers, earning around $28.5 million (approximately ₹261 crore) so far. After opening with a strong $7 million start, the film went on to collect over $22 million during its first weekend internationally, before adding another $1.5 million on Day 7. This consistent global traction highlights its wide-reaching appeal and positions it as a true worldwide phenomenon.

Another major milestone came as the film crossed the $100 million mark globally within its first week, a feat achieved by only a select group of Bollywood films. This places Dhurandhar 2 firmly within the upper echelon of Indian cinema’s global performers, reinforcing its status as more than just a domestic success story.

What makes this run particularly compelling is the balance between its explosive opening and its ability to sustain momentum. The film benefits from a combination of factors — scale, spectacle, and strong audience curiosity — but it is also riding on a wave of conversation. From debates around its thematic positioning to widespread audience reactions, Dhurandhar 2 has remained at the center of public discourse since its release. In today’s box office ecosystem, visibility and conversation often translate directly into footfall, and the film has leveraged that dynamic effectively.

At the center of it all is Ranveer Singh, whose performance anchors a film built on intensity and scale. His presence, combined with Aditya Dhar’s high-concept direction, has helped shape Dhurandhar 2 into a theatrical experience designed for mass engagement. The film’s high-octane action, expansive narrative, and whistle-worthy moments have clearly resonated with audiences, particularly in the large-screen environment.

The coming days will be crucial in determining how far this momentum can carry the film. With expectations already building for it to surpass the global totals of Pathaan and Kalki 2898 AD — both hovering around ₹1050 crore — Dhurandhar 2 is on the verge of entering an even higher tier of box office performance. Early trends suggest that crossing ₹1100–₹1200 crore is well within reach, provided it maintains a steady hold into its second weekend.

What is already clear, however, is that Dhurandhar 2 is not just another blockbuster. It represents a moment where Bollywood’s evolving dynamics — scale, controversy, audience engagement, and global reach — have converged into a single, defining success story.

In an industry where milestones are constantly being pushed, Dhurandhar 2 has not just reached the ₹1000 crore mark — it has done so at a pace that forces a recalibration of what is possible.

And as its run continues, the question is no longer whether it is a hit. It is how far this phenomenon can go.
