Dhurandhar 2 Crosses ₹56 Cr Worldwide Advance Booking, North America Leads Pre-Sales Surge
March 12, 2026

Advance bookings for Dhurandhar: The Revenge are accelerating rapidly across global markets, with the Ranveer Singh–led sequel already generating massive pre-sales ahead of its theatrical release. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film has crossed ₹50 crore in worldwide advance bookings for its opening weekend with nearly a week still remaining before it hits cinemas on March 19.

According to current trade estimates, the combined global advance bookings for Dhurandhar 2 stand at over ₹56 crore, making it one of the strongest pre-release performances for a Bollywood film in recent years. A significant portion of this demand is being driven by overseas markets, particularly North America, where early ticket sales have surged well ahead of release.

Pre-sales for the opening weekend in international territories are estimated at around ₹35 crore, with North America alone contributing approximately ₹27 crore. Industry trackers suggest that advance ticket sales in the United States and Canada have already crossed the $2 million mark, and projections indicate that the market could approach $3 million for the opening weekend as the release date draws closer.

The surge in overseas demand highlights the strong global footprint of the Dhurandhar franchise. The original film, released in 2025, became a major box office success and developed a significant audience across international markets, especially in North America. Trade observers note that the sequel’s overseas advance sales have already surpassed the entire opening weekend numbers of the first film in several territories, suggesting a much larger global turnout for the follow-up.

In India, advance bookings have so far been limited primarily to paid premiere shows scheduled for March 18, a day before the official release. Even with limited availability, the film has already generated impressive numbers. Current estimates suggest that premiere bookings have grossed more than ₹21 crore in India, with over four lakh tickets sold across multiplex and single-screen theaters.

Planet of Films had earlier reported on the film’s strong early momentum when premiere bookings crossed ₹12 crore in India, indicating robust audience demand even before full advance booking opened nationwide. The continued growth since then reflects the rapidly building excitement around the sequel.

The film’s trailer release played a key role in boosting ticket sales. Once the promotional campaign intensified, advance bookings began rising sharply across several territories. The sequel continues the story of undercover intelligence operative Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, whose mission takes him deep into international espionage networks.

Returning cast members include Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun, with the sequel expanding the narrative scope established in the original film. The franchise blends spy thriller elements with geopolitical intrigue, a combination that helped the first installment resonate with audiences both in India and overseas.

With advance booking still not fully open across India for regular shows, trade analysts expect the film’s global pre-sales to climb significantly in the coming days. Several projections suggest that the worldwide advance booking total could move well beyond ₹100 crore, although final figures will depend on how strongly domestic bookings perform once they open nationwide.

The strong early numbers have already placed Dhurandhar: The Revenge among the most anticipated Bollywood releases of the year. If current trends continue, the film is positioned to deliver one of the largest openings in recent Hindi cinema, driven by both domestic demand and strong international pre-sales.

As the countdown to release continues, the sequel’s advance booking performance is reinforcing the franchise’s growing box office power. With global ticket sales accelerating even before full booking begins in India, Dhurandhar 2 appears ready to begin its theatrical run with significant momentum when it arrives in cinemas on March 19.
