120 Bahadur — Release Date: 21 November 2025. Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, the Hindi-language war drama is produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios. The film stars Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, a revered hero of the Battle of Rezang La, with Raashii Khanna portraying Shagun Kanwari Singh, his wife.

Set during the Sino-Indian War of 1962, 120 Bahadur recounts the extraordinary real-life events of 18 November 1962, when 120 soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment — composed entirely of Ahirs from Haryana — defended their post at Rezang La in Ladakh against a 3,000-strong Chinese force. Despite being vastly outnumbered and facing severe weather conditions at an altitude of over 18,000 feet, the soldiers fought with unwavering resolve, inflicting more than 1,300 enemy casualties before being overrun.

The film presents the events through the recollections of one of the six surviving soldiers, whose memories frame the narrative of courage and sacrifice. Major Shaitan Singh’s legendary command and his immortal declaration, “Hum Peechhe Nahin Hatenge” (“We will not retreat”), stand at the heart of the story, symbolizing unmatched valor and patriotism. For his heroism, he was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military honor.

120 Bahadur highlights the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army, portraying how the men of Rezang La chose to defend their position until their final breath. The film also references the recognition received by others in the unit, including eight Vir Chakras, one Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, and four Sena Medals, further underscoring the scale of their bravery.

Filmed across rugged high-altitude terrains and meticulously recreated battlefield sets, the production aims to bring authenticity to one of India’s most storied last stands. While the film’s title has sparked discussion among Yadav communities who prefer the name 120 Veer Ahir, the story itself remains a tribute to every soldier who fought with unyielding spirit at Rezang La.
