Set in the high ranges of Idukki during the mid-20th century, Pallichattambi explores a time marked by rigid social hierarchies, superstition and localized systems of power. The narrative follows a fearless man who emerges from within this environment to challenge entrenched authority and oppressive practices. As feudal structures dominate everyday life, the story traces his transformation into a figure of resistance against injustice and exploitation.

Tovino Thomas leads the film, portraying a central character shaped by both personal conviction and the shifting realities of the era. The supporting cast includes Kayadu Lohar, Vijayaraghavan, Siddique, Sudheer Karamana and Baburaj, alongside Alexander Prasanth, Midhun Venugopal and Eldho Mathew. The film also features a cameo appearance by Prithviraj Sukumaran, adding to its ensemble-driven narrative.

Directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the film builds on a script by S. Suresh Babu that situates its story within a historically grounded setting. The production places emphasis on recreating the cultural and visual textures of the 1950s–60s period. Costume design by Manjusha Radhakrishnan reflects the era’s authenticity, while art direction by Rajesh Menon and sound design by Sync Cinema contribute to the film’s immersive environment.

Principal photography began in Thodupuzha and extended across multiple locations, capturing the terrain and atmosphere of Kerala’s highland regions. The film’s music is composed by Jakes Bejoy, complementing its dramatic and action-driven tone.

Pallichattambi is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 10 April 2026. It will be released in Malayalam along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada, positioning it as a pan-Indian period action drama rooted in regional history.
