Peddi (March 27, 2026) is an Indian Telugu-language sports action drama film written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena under Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment. The film stars Ram Charan in the titular role, with Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu in supporting roles, alongside Vijay Sethupathi appearing as himself.

Set against a rural backdrop, the story follows Peddi (Ram Charan), whose journey combines intense sports action with drama and personal stakes, portraying themes of perseverance, leadership, and community pride. The film is envisioned as a large-scale sports-centric narrative, with cricket forming a key part of its storyline.

Peddi was officially launched on 20 March 2024 in Hyderabad with a traditional muhurtham ceremony attended by notable figures from the Telugu film industry, including Chiranjeevi and Boney Kapoor. The technical crew includes R. Rathnavelu as the cinematographer, Navin Nooli as editor, Avinash Kolla as production designer, and music by A. R. Rahman. The film’s official title was announced on 27 March 2025, coinciding with Ram Charan’s 40th birthday, accompanied by first-look posters depicting the protagonist in rugged attire holding a cricket bat under floodlights, highlighting the film’s sports theme. The teaser trailer was released on 6 April 2025, aligning with Sri Rama Navami, building anticipation for the film’s grand release.

Peddi will be released theatrically in Telugu on March 27, 2026, along with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Post-theatrical streaming rights have been acquired by Netflix, ensuring a wide reach across multiple languages. With its combination of action, drama, and sports, Peddi aims to resonate with audiences seeking both high-energy entertainment and emotionally compelling storytelling.
