Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 has crossed ₹15 crore in domestic advance bookings, with seven days remaining before its theatrical release on November 5. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, cited by NDTV on October 29, the film has recorded ₹15.57 crore in gross advance sales across India, including blocked seats. The figures indicate that advance bookings have continued to rise ahead of its Diwali release.
The film has sold approximately 2.97 lakh tickets across 6,382 shows. Excluding blocked seats, its advance collection stands at ₹12.77 crore from around 2.41 lakh tickets, according to NDTV. These figures represent opening-day advance bookings and should not be confused with the film’s eventual theatrical collections.
The latest numbers follow an October 28 update from The Indian Express, which reported that Ramayana had sold 2.62 lakh tickets across 6,126 shows by 8 a.m. that day. Advance earnings stood at ₹11.35 crore without block bookings and ₹14.07 crore when blocked seats were included.
The subsequent NDTV report puts the gross advance total at ₹15.57 crore, reflecting an increase as the release date approaches. Advance bookings opened on October 20, coinciding with Dussehra, and sales have continued to develop as more shows have become available.
The Hindi version is driving the film’s domestic advance sales, contributing ₹13.07 crore, or approximately 84% of the reported total. The Kannada version has generated ₹2.04 crore, while the Telugu version has contributed ₹46.39 lakh, according to NDTV’s October 29 report.
The language-wise figures establish the Hindi version’s leading position, while the Kannada version accounts for another notable share of advance sales. The presence of Kannada star Yash as Ravana adds a regional dimension to the film’s pan-Indian release.
Among the cities listed in the report, Delhi-NCR leads with ₹2.87 crore from 38,666 tickets. Bengaluru follows with ₹2.45 crore and the highest ticket volume among the listed cities, at 41,112. Mumbai ranks third with ₹2.16 crore from 31,088 tickets, while Hyderabad has recorded ₹83.14 lakh from 23,558 tickets.
The advance sales have also prompted trade estimates about the film’s potential opening. The Indian Express reported on October 28 that Ramayana could earn between ₹60 crore and ₹80 crore net at the domestic box office on its opening day. The report also cited projections of more than ₹147 crore worldwide, including paid previews.
These figures remain projections rather than confirmed earnings. The film’s eventual opening will depend on booking momentum, audience turnout and its performance across domestic and overseas markets.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble also includes Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Arun Govil as Dasharatha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha.
The film is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Oscar-winning composers A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer are handling its score and music, while Sony Pictures International is overseeing international distribution. Dharma Productions is distributing the film in the Hindi market in India.
The makers held the film’s world premiere at the David Geffen Theatre in Los Angeles on October 27. The first instalment of the planned two-part adaptation is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on November 5, with the second part slated for Diwali 2027.
With a week remaining before release, Ramayana: Part 1 has crossed ₹15 crore in domestic advance bookings, with the Hindi version accounting for the bulk of sales. The coming days will show whether the film sustains this pre-release momentum as audiences prepare for its arrival during the festive season.
