Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, is set to arrive in Indian cinemas a day ahead of its U.S. release, giving Marvel fans in the country an early chance to watch the highly anticipated superhero film.
Sony Pictures Entertainment India has confirmed that the film will release in India on July 30, 2026. The studio has also announced that advance bookings for Premium Large Format (PLF) screenings will go live on June 17. Audiences will be able to reserve tickets for formats including IMAX, 4DX, MX4D, and other premium screens ahead of the film’s theatrical debut.
Meanwhile, Amazon Prime members in the United States will receive early access to the film through a special screening program. Prime members will be able to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 29 at select theaters across the country, giving them a head start before the film’s wider release. The film marks the fourth installment in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man franchise. It will be released across India in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, while Zendaya reprises her role as MJ and Jacob Batalon returns as Ned Leeds. The cast also includes Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Trammell Tillman, Sadie Sink, and Liza Colón-Zayas. Spider-Man: Brand New Day picks up four years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker living in isolation after erasing himself from the memories of everyone he loves. The film follows him as he faces a powerful new threat while grappling with a surprising physical evolution triggered by the demands of his crime-fighting life.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the 38th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Speaking to Empire, Feige said: “It is the first Spider-Man film that we’ve made in the MCU that is focused on the classic elements of Spider-Man. He’s doing the Spidey thing of living in a rather sad, small apartment, listening to the police scanner and going out and using his great power responsibly.”
The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously won over Marvel audiences with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. His appointment has brought a fresh creative direction to the franchise. Speaking to the same publication, Cretton said: “That’s the core theme that I find incredibly relatable. I think most people at certain points in our lives have gone through loss. At least for me, and I think for many people, the result can be: ‘Screw it. I’m just going to work. I’m going to do nothing else but work.’ That’s obviously not the most healthy state.”
Excitement surrounding the film has continued to grow since the release of its first trailer. According to Sony Pictures, the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day became the first movie trailer to cross one billion views across platforms. The footage offered fans a glimpse into Peter Parker’s life after the events of No Way Home, suggesting a more mature and emotionally burdened Spider-Man navigating a world that no longer remembers him.
With advance bookings set to begin on June 17 and the film arriving in Indian cinemas ahead of several international markets, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated theatrical releases of 2026.
