Andhra King Taluka (November 28, 2025) is an Indian Telugu-language drama film written and directed by Mahesh Babu Pachigolla and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili under Mythri Movie Makers in association with T-Series. The film serves as a heartfelt tribute to fan culture, exploring the life, relationships, and identity of Sagar (Ram Pothineni), an ardent admirer of his cinematic idol, ‘Andhra King’ Surya Kumar (Upendra Rao). Bhagyashri Borse stars as Maha Laxmi, with Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Satya in supporting roles.
Initially referred to as RAPO22, the project was officially announced in October 2024, with Ram Pothineni confirming his involvement. The female lead, Bhagyashri Borse, was confirmed in November 2024, marking her second Telugu film after Mr. Bachchan (2024). Upendra’s first look was unveiled in May 2025, marking his return to Telugu cinema after Ghani. Music for the film is composed by Vivek–Mervin, their Telugu debut, with lyrics penned by Ram Pothineni and Bhaskarabhatla for the singles “Nuvvunte Chaley” and “Puppy Shame.”
The film’s principal photography began on December 6, 2024, in Hyderabad, with the first look featuring Ram Pothineni released simultaneously. A 34-day schedule was completed in Rajahmundry, followed by final sequences in Hyderabad, including key daytime and climax shots. The film’s production involved elaborate setups and local support, including a visit by Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh.
Marketing for Andhra King Taluka included the official title announcement on May 15, 2025, coinciding with Ram Pothineni’s birthday, along with a title glimpse to build anticipation.
Scheduled for theatrical release on November 28, 2025, Andhra King Taluka aims to celebrate fan devotion and cinematic culture through a compelling narrative of admiration, loyalty, and personal growth, blending drama with emotional resonance.
