Dhurandhar (December 5, 2025) is an Indian Hindi-language spy action thriller written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. Produced under Jio Studios and B62 Studios by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film explores the high-stakes world of Indian intelligence, blending espionage, political conspiracies, and personal dilemmas.
The story centers on a covert RAW agent, played by Ranveer Singh, navigating a perilous mission rooted in historical events. The narrative portrays intense action sequences, complex betrayals, and intricate espionage tradecraft, showcasing the challenges faced by unknown operatives while highlighting themes of patriotism and duty. R. Madhavan reportedly plays National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, adding depth to the political and strategic dimensions of the plot. Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal appear in pivotal roles, with Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi providing additional support. Keith Sequeira also features in the ensemble.
The film was officially announced in July 2024 by Ranveer Singh, with the title revealed in December 2024. Principal photography spanned multiple international and domestic locations, including Bangkok, Thailand (standing in for Pakistan), Amritsar, the Golden Temple, Mumbai’s Filmistan and Madh Island, and Ladakh. Some action sequences were filmed at Mankoli Bridge, and a dance number was shot at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle. Filming wrapped by August 2025, despite interruptions caused by food poisoning affecting several crew members.
The soundtrack is composed by Shashwat Sachdev, with lyrics by Kumaar. The song “Na De Dil Pardesi Nu” samples the 1995 Punjabi classic by Muhammad Sadiq and Ranjit Kaur, remixed in 2003 by Panjabi MC as “Jogi”, and features vocals by Hanumankind, Jasmine Sandlas, and Sudhir Yaduvanshi. The first-look poster and teaser were released on 6 July 2025, coinciding with Ranveer Singh’s 40th birthday.
Scheduled for release on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar promises a high-octane spy thriller experience with a focus on patriotism, espionage, and action-packed storytelling.
