G2 — Release Date: 1 May 2026. Directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi in his feature directorial debut, the film is a Telugu-language spy action thriller and the official sequel to Goodachari. The film stars Adivi Sesh, who reprises his role as intelligence officer M. Gopi, also known as Arjun Kumar or Agent Gopi 116.

G2 continues the narrative established in Goodachari, expanding the scope of the franchise into a larger international espionage framework. The story follows Gopi on an overseas covert mission, where he operates far beyond familiar territory while confronting threats that challenge both national security and his personal loyalties. The film positions its protagonist in a global intelligence landscape, emphasizing surveillance, counterintelligence, and high-risk undercover operations.

Unlike the first film, which largely focused on domestic intelligence and personal revelations, G2 widens its canvas to include international agencies, foreign power dynamics, and cross-border conspiracies. This shift allows the narrative to explore the complexities of modern espionage, where information warfare and geopolitical tension often intersect.

Joining Adivi Sesh is Emraan Hashmi, who plays a key role as Vijay Saxena, a character central to the film’s conflict. The supporting cast includes Wamiqa Gabbi, Madhu Shalini, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, and Supriya Yarlagadda, each contributing to the film’s layered intelligence network.

The project was first conceptualized by Adivi Sesh in 2018, shortly after the success of Goodachari. Development progressed slowly due to scripting demands and the COVID-19 pandemic, which delayed production timelines. The sequel was officially titled G2 in December 2022, with Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi taking over directing responsibilities.

Produced by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and TG Vishwa Prasad Productions, the film is mounted on an estimated budget of ₹100 crore. Principal photography began in December 2023, with schedules planned across India, the United Arab Emirates, and parts of Europe, underscoring the franchise’s transition into a large-scale pan-Indian spy thriller.

G2 is scheduled for theatrical release on 1 May 2026, positioning it as a major summer release in Telugu cinema.
