Kaantha — Release Date: 14 November 2025. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, the Tamil-language period drama thriller stars Dulquer Salmaan, Samuthirakani, Bhagyashri Borse, and Rana Daggubati in pivotal roles. The film is jointly produced by Rana Daggubati under Spirit Media and Dulquer Salmaan under Wayfarer Films.

Set in 1950s Madras, Kaantha draws inspiration from the life and era of M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, a pioneering icon of Tamil cinema known for his stardom and the cultural transition of the film industry during that period. The film weaves together themes of fame, ego, artistic integrity, and betrayal, portraying the shifting power dynamics between filmmakers and stars in a rapidly evolving creative landscape.
