Raid 2

Raid 2 release date: May 1, 2025. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the Hindi-language crime thriller is a sequel to Raid (2018) and features Ajay Devgn reprising his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Suniel Shetty, and Vaani Kapoor in key roles.

The story follows Amay Patnaik as he leads another high-stakes investigation into large-scale financial crimes. Like its predecessor, the film is inspired by real-life income-tax raids and showcases the challenges faced by officers in uncovering white-collar and black-collar corruption. Working alongside intelligence agencies, Patnaik must navigate political pressure, powerful adversaries, and dangerous threats as he seeks justice.

Announced in April 2020, Raid 2 entered pre-production in August 2022. Principal photography took place across multiple locations, including Mumbai, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi in the first half of 2024.

Blending intense drama with investigative action, Raid 2 continues the franchise’s exploration of financial crimes and law enforcement’s fight against corruption. The film is set for a theatrical release.
