A fuego (English: By Fire) — Release Date: 21 August 2026 (Spain). Directed by Estel Díaz in her feature directorial debut, the Spanish teen dance drama is co-written by Estel Díaz and Núria Dunjó. The film stars Zoe Bonafonte, Omar Banana, Marc Soler, Miquel Melero, and Ruslana. Set against Barcelona’s underground dance scene, the coming-of-age drama explores grief, adolescence, friendship, and self-expression through the language of movement and music.

The story follows Lola, a 17-year-old girl whose life is turned upside down following the death of her brother. Struggling to process her loss, she discovers “The Bunker,” a hidden gathering place that her brother once frequented. The underground venue hosts clandestine parties and high-energy dance battles, introducing Lola to a close-knit group of young people who share their own dreams, insecurities, and emotional scars. As she becomes immersed in this vibrant world of dance, Lola gradually begins to confront her grief while forging new friendships that help her rediscover confidence, purpose, and a sense of belonging. Through rhythm, choreography, and competition, the film portrays dance as both an emotional outlet and a powerful means of healing during one of the most transformative periods of life.

Zoe Bonafonte stars as Lola, leading an ensemble that includes Omar Banana, Marc Soler, Miquel Melero, and singer-actress Ruslana in pivotal roles. Together, the cast portrays a diverse group of teenagers connected by their passion for dance and their search for identity, acceptance, and emotional freedom. Rather than focusing solely on competition, the story emphasizes the relationships and personal growth that emerge within the underground dance community.

Director Estel Díaz describes the film as an exploration of adolescence through its mixture of joy, pain, hope, and uncertainty, using dance as the central storytelling language. Choreography is created by Anna Macau, with visually dynamic dance sequences filmed across Barcelona, including the iconic Three Chimneys industrial complex in Sant Adrià de Besòs. Produced with the participation of Atresmedia and Netflix, the film combines energetic performances with an emotionally grounded narrative about resilience and healing.
