I’m Game

I’m Game — Release Date: 20 August 2026. Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, starring Dulquer Salmaan alongside Antony Varghese, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin and Vinay Forrt. The Malayalam-language gangster action thriller is co-written by Hidhayath with Ismail Aboobacker and Sajeer Baba, and produced by Dulquer Salmaan under the banner of Wayfarer Films.

I’m Game is positioned within the gangster action thriller genre, centering on a high-stakes world shaped by violence, power struggles and shifting loyalties. While plot details remain largely undisclosed, the film is described as an intense action-driven narrative built around criminal networks and interpersonal conflict. The project combines stylized action with emotionally charged character dynamics, placing its story within a gritty underworld setting.

Dulquer Salmaan leads the film, with Antony Varghese, Kayadu Lohar, Kathir, Mysskin, Vinay Forrt, Parth Tiwari and Samyuktha Vishwanathan appearing in major roles. The ensemble cast reflects the film’s large-scale approach and pan-Indian positioning, with the project planned for release across multiple languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, known for RDX, the film marks another large-scale commercial action project from the filmmaker. The screenplay was developed collaboratively with Ismail Aboobacker and Sajeer Baba, aiming for a stylized gangster narrative with mass-market appeal. The project was initially launched under the tentative title DQ40, marking Dulquer Salmaan’s 40th film as a lead actor, before the official title was unveiled in March 2025.

Principal photography commenced in March 2025 and continued over an extensive 156-day schedule before wrapping in April 2026. Cinematography was handled jointly by Nimish Ravi and Jimshi Khalid, while Chaman Chacko oversaw editing. The soundtrack and score are composed by Jakes Bejoy, continuing his collaboration with large-scale Malayalam action cinema.

I’m Game is scheduled for theatrical release on 20 August 2026 during the Onam festival season. The film is positioned as one of the major Malayalam releases of the year, with a wide multilingual rollout planned across India.
