The project combines newly filmed segments with memorable moments from earlier television episodes and feature films, creating a retrospective look at the evolution of Jackass while introducing fresh material featuring both longtime cast members and newer additions to the ensemble.

Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Preston Lacy, Dave England, and Danger Ehren return alongside newer cast members Sean “Poopies” McInerney, Zach Holmes, Jasper Dolphin, Rachel Wolfson, and Compston “Dark Shark” Wilson. The film also incorporates archival footage featuring original cast members Bam Margera and Ryan Dunn, acknowledging their contributions to the franchise’s history. Guest appearances include comedian Adam Ray, actor Paul Walter Hauser, and former MythBusters personality Tory Belleci.

Directed by franchise co-creator Jeff Tremaine, the production continues the series’ established blend of stunt performance, prank-based comedy, physical endurance challenges, and documentary-style filmmaking. Longtime collaborators Spike Jonze, Lance Bangs, Rick Kosick, Dimitry Elyashkevich, and Sean Cliver also return in creative and production roles. According to the filmmakers, the project was conceived as both a farewell to the theatrical series and a celebration of the cast’s decades-long friendship and creative partnership.

Filming took place in California during early 2026, with Spike Jonze directing the film’s opening and closing sequences. The production includes newly designed stunts alongside restored and unused footage from previous eras of the franchise. As the final planned theatrical installment, the film reflects on the cultural impact of Jackass while maintaining the irreverent humor and physical comedy that defined the series from its television origins through multiple feature films.

Jackass: Best and Last is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on 26 June 2026 through Paramount Pictures.
