I Want Your Sex — Release Date: 31 July 2026. The story follows Elliot, a young man whose life changes after he secures a job working for internationally renowned contemporary artist Erika Tracy. Initially captivated by the opportunity to work alongside one of the art world’s most celebrated and controversial figures, Elliot soon becomes far more than an assistant when Erika selects him as the creative inspiration for her latest work. As their professional relationship evolves into an increasingly complicated personal connection, Elliot finds himself navigating a world shaped by artistic ambition, desire, manipulation, and shifting power dynamics. The narrative combines psychological suspense with dark comedy while exploring the intersections of creativity, identity, obsession, and fame.

Cooper Hoffman stars as Elliot, whose admiration for Erika gradually gives way to increasingly complex emotional and professional challenges. Olivia Wilde portrays Erika Tracy, an acclaimed conceptual artist whose unconventional methods drive the story’s central conflict. The ensemble cast includes Mason Gooding as Elliot’s co-worker Zap, Chase Sui Wonders as his roommate and closest friend Apple, Daveed Diggs as Erika’s business manager Vikktor, Charli XCX as graduate student Minerva, and Johnny Knoxville and Margaret Cho as detectives investigating events connected to the unfolding narrative.

Director Gregg Araki returns with another genre-defying feature that combines thriller, comedy, and social satire through his distinctive visual style. Known for films that examine contemporary relationships, identity, and youth culture, Araki once again blends provocative subject matter with stylized filmmaking and character-focused storytelling. The screenplay, co-written with Karley Sciortino, places its characters within the worlds of contemporary art and celebrity while examining ambition, influence, and personal boundaries.

Principal photography took place in Los Angeles during October 2024. Following its completion, the film premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival before screening at several international festivals, including Miami, Indianapolis, and Sydney, ahead of its theatrical release.
