Monica Barbaro stars as Allie, while Callum Turner portrays Owen. The supporting cast includes Maya Hawke, Julia Fox, Molly Ringwald as Linda, LeVar Burton as Linda’s partner, Okieriete Onaodowan, Este Haim, Ziwe, King Princess, Ben Marshall, Nicholas Braun, Quintessa Swindell, and Michelle Hurd. Together, the ensemble populates a lively urban setting filled with intersecting stories, adding humor and emotional depth to the central romance.

Director Will Gluck, known for contemporary romantic comedies, brings his signature blend of witty dialogue, fast-paced storytelling, and character-driven humor to the project. The screenplay by Travis Braun, which topped the 2024 Black List of unproduced screenplays, uses its unconventional premise to examine modern dating, relationships, personal expectations, and the search for authentic connection. Principal photography took place in New York City during late 2025, while the musical score is composed by Este Haim and Christopher Stracey, complementing the film’s contemporary tone.
